Originally qualifying as an Architectural Technician, Ian Dolman developed his design skills, along with his construction knowledge, while working with a number of award winning architects throughout South Australia.
Ten years ago he set up his own practice, now known as Ecohabitat Design, to further develop his passion for sustainable residential and commercial building design.
Ecohabitat Design uses an integrated design approach from the start of the initiation phase, in which aesthetics, quality, functionality, environmental sustainability, comfort, cost, and health are weighted.
Principles of passive design, including thoughtful orientation, efficient use of daylight, and the inclusion of effective ventilation, are used to develop a design matching the energy ambitions of our client.
The practice undertakes projects ranging from small to large scale for new homes, commercial buildings and renovations and additions.
